When we visited Saraswati Vidyalaya Girls Intercollege in the December of 2023, we noticed that the library was in shambles. The doors to the closet storing the books had long weared out, and so many of the books were in unusable condition. Since then, Asha Initiative has raised money to fully restore a new, functional library filled with new books. Furthermore, our efforts didn't go unnoticed as the Indian Government (Education department) saw the work being done and donated additional funds to helping support more books for the school.

On August 9th, 2026, we had a book sale with the books we collected in our book drive. We were there for 6 hours selling books to help raise money to buy the financial literacy books. We had a great time and we plan to do it again next year!
